Paver Installation in Austin, TX

Patios, driveways, walkways, and pool decks built with premium pavers. We handle the entire process — from design and base preparation to installation and sealing.

Why Pavers Over Concrete

Pavers outperform poured concrete in almost every way. They’re stronger, more flexible, and easier to repair. If the ground shifts — which it does in Central Texas — pavers move with it instead of cracking. If one paver gets damaged, you replace that one paver. Try that with a concrete slab. Pavers also drain better, look better, and last longer. The upfront cost is higher, but the long-term value isn’t close.

What We Build With Pavers

Patios

The most common paver project. We build patios from 200 square feet to 2,000+ square feet, with options for built-in seating, fire pit integration, and outdoor kitchen connections.

Typical range: $8,000 – $25,000

Driveways

Paver driveways handle vehicle weight better than standard concrete and won’t crack from tree roots or soil movement. We install with proper base depth for heavy use.

Typical range: $15,000 – $40,000

Walkways

Front entry paths, side yard access, garden walkways. We match paver style to your home’s architecture and connect spaces with clean, functional paths.

Typical range: $3,000 – $10,000

Pool Decks

Pavers around pools need to drain properly, stay cool underfoot, and resist chlorine and salt. We use pool-rated pavers with the right texture and color.

Typical range: $12,000 – $35,000

Paver Materials We Use

We work with several paver types depending on your project, budget, and aesthetic preferences. Each has its strengths.

Concrete Pavers

Most versatile and cost-effective. Wide range of colors, shapes, and textures. Great for patios and walkways.

Travertine

Natural stone with a classic look. Stays cool in heat — ideal for pool decks. Higher price point but timeless.

Porcelain

Extremely durable and low-maintenance. Resistant to stains, scratches, and fading. Modern aesthetic.

Flagstone

Natural, irregular shapes for a rustic Hill Country look. Works well with Texas landscaping styles.

How We Install Pavers

Proper installation is everything. A paver patio is only as good as the base underneath it.

01

Excavation

We dig to the proper depth based on your soil type and intended use. Driveways need deeper bases than patios.

02

Base Preparation

Crushed limestone base, compacted in layers. This is where shortcuts show up years later — we don’t take them.

03

Sand Bedding

Screeded sand layer for leveling and drainage. Precise depth and grade for proper water flow.

04

Paver Installation

Pavers laid in your chosen pattern with consistent spacing. Cuts made with precision saws for clean edges.

05

Edge Restraints

Borders secured to prevent shifting. Critical for driveways and high-traffic areas.

06

Joint Sand & Sealing

Polymeric sand swept into joints and compacted. Optional sealer for enhanced color and protection.

We interviewed four contractors before choosing Panoramic. Best decision we made. The patio came out exactly like the 3D rendering, and the crew was respectful of our property throughout.

Paver Questions

What homeowners ask before starting a paver project.

How much does a paver patio cost?
Most paver patios run $20–$35 per square foot installed, depending on paver type and site conditions. A typical 400 sq ft patio runs $8,000–$14,000. Driveways and pool decks cost more due to deeper bases and specialized materials.
How long does installation take?
A standard patio takes 3–5 days. Driveways take 5–7 days. Large or complex projects may take 2 weeks. We’ll give you a specific timeline during the estimate.
Do pavers require maintenance?
Minimal. Occasional sweeping, rinsing, and reapplication of polymeric sand every few years. Sealed pavers may need resealing every 3–5 years. Far less maintenance than wood decks or stamped concrete.
Will pavers shift or sink over time?
Not if installed correctly. Proper base preparation and compaction prevent settling. If movement does occur — usually from tree roots or drainage issues — individual pavers can be lifted and relaid without replacing the entire surface.
What paver colors and patterns are available?
Hundreds of options. We’ll bring samples to your property so you can see how colors look against your home in natural light. Popular patterns include herringbone, running bond, and basketweave.
